Our landlords recently switched to YPA. The communication we have had since becoming a tenant with them has been outstanding. Amy contacted us as soon as YPA took over our lease, following up on an email that had been sent, which had landed in my junk folder. Also notifying me of an amount that the previous real estate were holding onto so I could get onto it and get the money back. Further to this, Amy was conscious and considerate of us when our landlords wanted to come over and measure for a potential subdivision on the property, ensuring that nothing was set in stone and organising a time that would suit us. Taylah completed our first rental inspection with YPA (only had one so far). She was (and is) professional, on time and a pleasure to deal with. Given my previous experience with some agents (with other real estates), I was quite anxious prior to the inspection but that eased after my partner who attended the inspection reported back to me about how quick, easy and simple it was with Taylah. She also gets bonus points for giving our attention seeking cat a good pat! Overall, we've had a great start to our tenancy with YPA!

Re-leasing fees should be an expense that is passed on to the tenant. A current tenant of mine wants to renew the lease (at the same monthly cost!) but if I elect to renew I am slugged with the lease renewal fee. At the very least the tenant should increase their offer to at least cover the expense of re-leasing. Admittedly, the tenant would not think that this is a cost borne by the owner.

Amy is only new on this property, So I will reserve final judgement. In saying that our initial experience with Ali was disappointing. We agreed to a tenant after the profile had been sent to us for approval. it was 4 weeks later when we discovered that the tenant we had approved was not the tenant in the property. The fact that YPA did not take control of the situation until we raised a dispute is very disappointing. This cost us a month in revenue and have an unapproved tenant signing a contract with YPA. From what I can see Amy is doing a fair job, but it is unfortunate that Amy needs to shoulder the responsibility of gaining our confidence back.
